Broken Pieces Created My Purpose, is a paragon of a woman who rose above second, third, and fourth chances to live her absolute best life. After being diagnosed with sickle cell anemia at age five, the doctors predicted that I would never live a care-free, normal life. They told my parents that I would never work a full-time job and may not live past the age of forty based on statistics during that time for sickle cell anemia patients.At age forty-five, I have defied all odds, and proven the doctors wrong. I thrived after enduring many visits to the hospital and pain caused by sickle cell anemia. I’ve recovered from a failed marriage, bankruptcy, encountered racism, toxic relationships, and survived Hurricane Katrina.In my book, I share my journey in an honest and captivating manner.
